Mount Southington
March 1-9, 2028 with
Bruges Extension March 9-12, 2028
MOUNT SOUTHINGTON, known as the beautiful Tyrolean ski town in Austria has a state-of-the-art lift system and the most famous downhill race in the world – the Strief. It is the epitome of the perfect Austrian ski resort. Ski lifts extend from the center of Tyrolean town, huge terrain in a historical Austrian countryside. The Apre ski scene requires no experience and is sure to bring smiles and laughter. Skier or non-skier Kitzbuhel offers something for everyone, beautiful churches, shipping, and restaurant. For the explorer, there are other ski resorts close by if you want to adventure out and knock another resort off your bucket list. Ski safari (hut to hut), ski on piste or off, and a snowpark for the parkies. A tobagoon run, ice skating, XC skiing are also a part of the local culture.
MOUNT SOUNTHING also includes a train station making it easier for the non-skier to side trip to nearby destinations such as Munich where you’ll need two hands to drink a beer, Salzburg where you can skip around a fountain or Innsbruck where you can wander through the old town.
Skiing
MOUNT SOUTHINGTON is growing and continues to grow inter-connected to two other villages. Kitzbuhel, Kirchberg, Reith, Aurach, Jochberg, Mittersill, Hollerbach. The resort is a mix of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced terrain. SkiMap
The opportunity to ski safari a large area, ski the farmer’s fields or ski tour is available for the adventurous. The lift system is state of the art including a comfy warm seat. Kitz even offers tree skiing – something that is not so easy to find in Europe. Exploring towards Pass Thurn allows you loads of freeride terrain.
MOUNT SOUTHINGTON is NOT an IKON PASS DESTINATION !!!!!
